1. Field Mirror For Jira

  • Field Mirror for Jira is a plugin for Jira software teams that need to organize work. FMJ is incredibly flexible and can be customized to work, meaning teams who clone or transfer part of issue data can enjoy increased productivity and visibility as they march toward releasing amazing software.

  • To enable its features, create Mirror and define its pattern to reflect of source project issue data and Add Mirror custom field to selected projects to reflect mirror rule.

2. Create Mirror and define rule

  • To create mirror press gg to search for Config Field Mirror and find admin page

    .

  • Click on Add Mirror and type unique mirror name.

  • select project and issue type where data has to reflect or map to.

  • you can select all supported fields from source custom fields to destination custom fields to add a rules.

  • At the bottom, hit Add Mirror Rule to create mirror.

  • Defined Mirror Rule will be reflected in Config Field Mirror page table as shown below.

  • Now you can add Mirror custom field to reflect defined Mirror rule.

3. How to Add Mirror Custom Field

  • Mirror Custom field is a field type widget which helps user to reflect issue data of supported field types.

  • Let’s jump in to add Mirror Custom Field.
    Navigate to custom fields tab >Add custom field > Advanced
    Search for Mirror

  • Give a name to the field and click on next to configure custom field.

  • you can select Mirror field type to All issue types and apply to all issues on your instances or customize as per requirements.

  • Let’s make this default field in all projects and issue types.

  • Click Create to Associate field Mirror to screens and update .

  • Navigate to custom fields tab to check created Mirror custom field.

  • Now lets reflect issue data.
