Configure Expressions Text Custom Field

Expressions Text Custom Field used to calculate the text field values using Jira Expressions.

Configuring the Expressions Text Custom Field

1. Search the Custom field name, Click on the “Three“ dots.

2. Go to contexts & default value.
   
   

   Open

   

3. User will see a page similar to the following example

4. Click on the Edit custom field config to configure the Jira expression.
   
   

   Open

   

5. Add the Jira Expression.

6. Click the Submit button, and the Jira Expression will be added to the configuration.
   
   

   Open

   

NOTE: This field is made it as read only so while creating issue it will not appear

Testing the Expressions Text Custom Field

1. Navigate to create an issue and add the required field values.

2. In the Issue view, User can see the calculated field value.
