Prerequisites & Configuration
Prerequisites for Updating Asset Fields.
The asset fields you want to update must already exist in the Asset Object Type.
These fields must meet the following requirements:
A default value must be set
The attribute value should not be empty
The field must be of a supported type (Text or Date)
The exact field name must be added in the Mode configuration
The attribute type in the Mode must match the Jira Asset field type
⚠️ Only correctly configured fields with non-empty values will be updated during scanning.
Supported Field Types and Update Behavior
The field must be of a supported type (Text or Date).
Text fields are automatically updated with the current user’s username
Date fields are automatically updated with the current date
⚠️ If an unsupported field type is configured, the scan will fail and an error will be shown.
