Scan Mode Configuration Guidelines

Scan Mode Configuration

Modes define which asset fields should be updated when a QR code is scanned.

Creating a Scan Mode

  1. Go to the Scan QR tab

  2. Click + Add Mode

  3. Enter a Mode Name

    • Example: Onboarding, Maintenance, Offboarding

  4. The Mode appears as a collapsible card

Adding Attributes to a Mode

  1. Click Add Attribute

  2. Enter:

    • Attribute Name (must exactly match the Jira Asset field)

    • Attribute Type (Text or Date)

  3. Click the ✔️ icon to save

Only valid attributes that exist in the Asset schema will be updated.

Editing & Deleting

  • Edit Mode Name – Inline edit by clicking the mode header

  • Delete Mode – Trash icon 🗑️

  • Edit Attribute – Modify name or type

  • Delete Attribute – Remove incorrect attributes

Expanding & Selecting Modes

  • Only one Mode can be expanded at a time

  • Only the active Mode is applied during scanning
